Place Rossetti is located in the heart of Nice’s old town. Several narrow winding streets lead to this square, which is surrounded, by beautiful old buildings.
The city’s Baroque Cathedral is located here and at the end of the square, you’ll spy a small fountain made of white stone which contrasts nicely with the grey slate paving you stand on!
You will find many cafes and restaurants in Place Rossetti and it’s the perfect spot to sit back, relax and watch the world go by. Do not miss a visit to Fenocchio’s Glacier, this ice cream parlour serves the best ice creams in all of Nice and is a tourist attraction in its own right. And to work off the Ice Cream a fairly steep climb up Rue Rossetti will take you to the Parc Du Chateau!
Place Rossetti is the venue each Christmas for the live recreation of the nativity scene. Donkeys, cows, goats, sheep, people, hay and a real baby Jesus are all part of this traditional event held here each December.
