The Modern and Contemporary Art Museum of Nice was established in1990. The building which, was designed by Yves Bayard and Henri Vidal, is located on Promenade des Arts

The building consists of 4 marble towers and different sections of the museum are linked together by glass passageways. The museum houses a large collection of French and American artwork form the 1960’s to the present day.

The art displayed here includes the works of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenburg. One entire section of the museum is devoted to French artist Yves Klein.

Please note: There is a fee into the museum however admission is free on the first and third Sundays of each month, the museum is open daily except for Mondays. You can reach the museum by bus routes 3, 5, 6,16, 17.
